The level designs vary wildly enough for you to differentiate between levels. There are a number of different bullet types for sniper mode, and you can get a super chaingun enhancement for your normal machinegun that lasts for 400 bullets. There is a sniper mode as well as the third-person mode, and throughout the game you'll need to switch between the two in order to progress. I now come to the weapons, there are a few innovative weapons that are a lot of fun to use, like the "world's smallest nuclear explosion". They are still outdated though, but that's not the whole point.

I just recently found it for download for PC and it's still just as fun as I remembered, and just as fluent as I remembered as well. The graphics were ok for the time but a bit dated by the time I got to play it. The gameplay was so smooth and it was so much fun to play. And by the time I had to give the playstation back, it was the game that was the most played. At first I thought it was ok, but it grew on me. My first memory of MDK was borrowing a friends playstation with only a few games some years ago, and it was one of those games. Further weaponry enhancements are available as you progress through the game. Kurt is equipped with a special battle suit with an included parachute and a sniper interface (allowing you to aim precise shooting while standing still) embedded in your helmet.
Precise platform jumps are part of the challenge. You run and jump through 6 missions of strange 3D worlds and kill the "Stream Riders" with your machine gun arm. Aliens have sent 8 giant fortresses to destroy earth. In this 3D shoot 'em up, you play Kurt, and your job is to save the world. In addition to running around and shooting, there are also special means of transportation including a surfboard-like jet and a bomber plane that is used to call in air strikes. You can also pick up special items, like a miniature nuclear bomb and powerful upgrades for your chaingun. Your suit comes equipped with a chain gun that has an infinite supply of ammunition. There is also a built in parachute (a ribbon-like device) that enables you to glide between different platforms as well as drop down on intruders. This allows you to zoom in on unsuspecting enemies and fire off shots with pinpoint accuracy. The super-suit comes equipped with many features you'll need to utilize in your journey, such as the sniper helmet. In order to do so, you must make good use of your special suit, which allows you to do all kinds of things. Because the world is being invaded by aliens, it is up to you and your sidekick Bones to stop the invasion and single handedly save Earth. MDK is a 3rd person action/shooter game in which the objective is to basically shoot everything that moves in six massive cities, each with their own sublevels.
